Lori Hock
Chief Executive Officer

Lori is a Human Capital Management executive and board member with over 30 years of experience and broad proficiency in business incubation, growth strategy, execution, and restructuring. She is recognized as an industry expert with a proven track record of driving strategic vision, organizational design, transformative technology innovation, and change management working with both established enterprises and scaling businesses. A dynamic leader with a reputation for execution and driving profitable growth through the development of high-performance teams, operational excellence, and empowering organizations with workforce analytics and cloud-based solutions. Lori serves as a Board member and an advisor to private equity firms.

Most recently, Lori held the position of Chief Executive Officer, Americas for Hudson RPO. She is credited with transforming what had been a highly diversified organization into a specialized Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) business. Prior to that, Lori was with Adecco Solutions (now known as Pontoon), serving as the company’s President and a member of the global leadership team. In this role, she led the design and build of the Americas Managed Services business, which grew to become a multi-billion-dollar business in spend under management and one of the largest MSP providers in the staffing industry. Early in her career, Lori served as Senior Vice President of Adecco’s Northeast staffing division. In this role, she led the market expansion and growth of the business to become the largest division in NA.

Jason Safley
Chief Technology Officer

Jason is an expert in his field with over 20 years of distinguished experience leading teams responsible for design, architecture, and development of persona-driven data and analytics products. Before joining the Opptly team, he worked within the financial, healthcare, and workforce solutions industries. Jason possesses a keen understanding that technical solutions must be driven by a desire to address a business problem or opportunity.

Having worked on notable cutting-edge projects with some of the most talented individuals in their fields, Jason was drawn to Opptly for the opportunity to disrupt the market with innovative workforce solutions and pushing the limits of technology to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

At Opptly, Jason applies his strengths to the internal analysis of short and long-term product strategy, implementing marketable and innovative technology, vendor management, overseeing data security and governance, and managing enhancements within the overarching technology infrastructure. In partnership with the Executive Leadership and Sales teams, he designs scalable, repeatable, and sustainable solutions for our customers and technological partners.

Rebecca Valladares
Head of Operations

Rebecca Valladares is Head of Operations for Opptly. A dynamic leader with more than two decades of experience within the workforce solutions industry, Rebecca has held roles spanning Staffing, Corporate Recruitment, MSP, RPO, and EOR organizations. Her unique perspective has earned her opportunities to lead large-scale business transformation projects, implement highly complex, global extended workforce programs, and nurture relationships with some of the world’s foremost companies.

In her current role, Rebecca is responsible for leading the Implementation and Customer Success teams to ensure the full value of the Opptly technology is realized. Alongside her team, she strives to push the boundaries of AI utilization and understanding within the workforce solutions industry. As a member of the executive leadership team, she collaborates on roadmap development with a focus on user-experience to ensure Opptly delivers an efficient, scalable solution.

Rebecca believes strongly in the importance of continuous improvement, both in people and process. She is an active learner and a charter member of the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals. Rebecca is a graduate of Stonybrook University and currently resides in Rochester, NY with her husband and four children.

Derek Sanders
Chief Revenue Officer

Derek Sanders is Opptly’s Chief Revenue Officer. He has nearly two decades of experience spanning recruitment, business development, enterprise global sales, EOR/AOR, and technology within the staffing industry.

In his most recent role as Senior Vice President, Global Enterprise at People2.0, he was instrumental in steering the sales team through a period of unprecedented hyper-growth, catapulting annual revenues from $600 million to over $4 billion. Under his leadership the team formed key partnerships, refined global sales strategies, and nurtured crucial enterprise accounts, setting new benchmarks for excellence and innovation in the process.

Prior to his tenure at People2.0, Derek played a pivotal role on the leadership team at Qwil, a leading payments and liquidity fintech platform. His efforts were crucial in securing over $250 million through structured credit facilities, venture debt, and equity, driving the company forward in its mission to transform financial transactions.

Derek's career also includes significant contributions to TalentWave (a People2.0 company), Randstad, and the Nelson Family of Companies.

Tim O’Rourke
Chairman

With more than 20 years of IT consulting and human capital experience, Tim serves as the Managing Director of ICON. He has a deep understanding of business consultancy and staffing which brings a fresh perspective to our clients’ complicated business problems.  Tim holds his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston.  He spent more than 10 years with Lyondell/Equistar providing the organization with support and solutions.  His process engineering background has resulted in documented repeatable procedures that have been key in creating operational efficiencies, effectiveness, and accuracies.  Of course, Tim never stops assessing how ICON operates and how innovation can improve the client experience. Tim’s dedication to remaining innovative exemplifies his commitment to the “ICON way”.

Pamela O’Rourke
Managing Partner

When Pamela initially formed ICON in 1998, she was the sole employee. However, with her entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of how to grow a business, Pamela grew ICON into a thriving organization with thousands of employees across the United States and Canada.

With more than 15 years of IT knowledge and experience, Pamela has performed all aspects of client integration, network engineering, infrastructure, project management, application development, training and documentation. She earned her BBA in Information Systems and Management from the University of Houston. Consequently, she is able to understand the client’s needs and match qualified technical consultants accordingly, significantly increasing the success of the business.

Named as an Ernst & Young “Entrepreneur of the Year®” and recently selected as an Houston Business Journal's Most Admired CEO Honoree, Pamela thrives on being a mentor and leads by example. She believes that giving back is an important strategy; one which she demonstrates through her continuous support of women-owned companies. Pamela is a past National Board Member of Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and a past Board Member for Women’s Business Council-Southwest (WBCS). She is a current board member of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) and University of Houston Board of Visitors. In addition, Pamela is a member of Committee of 200 (C200).

Kevin Cohn

Kevin Cohn, during his thirty-year career, has helped both private and public companies of various sizes in the business services and technology sectors. He is currently a Partner at American Discovery Capital, and his previous positions include Executive VP & COO, Sirius Solutions, Senior VP & CFO, First Acceptance Corporation, and VP, Corporate Development, Metamor Worldwide. Kevin’s experience includes over $6 billion in transactions and advising companies at various stages in their lifecycle on strategic, operational, and financial matters.

Dana Mahina

Dana Look-Arimoto is an international speaker, author of Stop Settling and Settle Smart, founder of the leadership and executive coaching company, Phoenix5, and settlesmarter.com, and the host of the “Settle Smarter” podcast.

With over 20 years of experience leading teams and corporations and sitting on multiple boards, Dana has accrued a wealth of knowledge and experience in understanding how people best work together and how teams that work well together make corporations successful.

Her years of accumulated entrepreneurial experience launched a unique vision, Stop Settling®, that ditches the never-ending search for “work-life balance” for integration in all areas of life, for all people.

Linc Markham

Linc Markham has held leadership roles in procurement, consulting, and technology companies. In his latest role, he heads strategic partnerships for tech startup Certree and advises HR tech companies. In his last enterprise role, as the Head of Contingent Workforce at BP he, his team, and his supply partners built a billion-dollar contingent workforce program.

Linc continues to speak and write on topics such as an On-Demand workforce vision, talent communities, workforce analytics, and the power of diversity across the talent ecosystem. Linc is an active contributor to industry groups and believes in the power of partnering both internally and externally to develop best fit solutions.

Salema Rice

Salema Rice is a global data and analytics leader. Her extensive industry experience has focused on directing data management strategies, AI transformation, and digital innovation, using AI to effect positive change.

Salema is the Global Managing Director of Applied Intelligence at Accenture and previously worked as Chief Digital, Data & Analytics Officer for Geometric Results (GRI), and as Chief Data Officer at the Allegis Group. She’s been named one of the Top 30 Most Inspiring Women in AI, a Top 50 Influencer by Women in Tech, and a Global Data Power Leader by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA).

Passionate about giving back to the communities where she lives and works, Salema is the co-founder of Compassion’s Way, a non-profit that works in underprivileged communities to empower and inspire people experiencing homelessness, helping them access resources that can lead to more stable living conditions.

Carla Tibbitts

Carla brings over 30 years’ experience in executive leadership, strategic planning, and execution for businesses from startups to multibillion-dollar enterprises. Her expertise spans a variety of functions including mergers and acquisitions, purchasing, business management, supply chain, and operations. She is known as a results-oriented leader with a track record of proven success in driving organizations to achieve their goals.

Carla’s roles have included executive leadership of a Fortune 100 company, advising private equity firms, consulting for a variety of businesses, and investing in startups. She joined Opptly as a board member in 2017, drawn by the mission to revolutionize the way people connect with work and the promise of the Opptly technology solution. Carla took on the leadership of Opptly by becoming CEO in January 2019. Carla moved to join the Opptly Board of Advisors in October 2021.

In her spare time, you can find Carla on the ski slopes, traveling to interesting new places, or enjoying a dance with her husband. Carla’s Fun Friday intro song is “Let’s Get the Party Started” by Pink.

Monica Wooden

Monica Wooden is Co-founder and ex-CEO of MercuryGate International, Inc. where she developed MercuryGate into what customers and analysts say is one of the most sophisticated and flexible Transportation Management System (TMS) available in the market today. MercuryGate was sold in late 2018.

Prior to MercuryGate, Monica worked for IBM. Here she ran Florida professional services and created numerous new business ventures. It is here where she realized the need to automate transportation processes robust enough to handle 3PL and shipper businesses which inspired the start of MercuryGate.

She has been recognized in Forbes, Southeast Women in Business, and received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Southeast region.
